After announcing their Republic of Gaming (ROG) laptop range yesterday, Asus has today unveiled their consumer range with the new ZenBook range and the tough, slim and light TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop.
There are four new ZenBook models being announced by ASUS at CES 2021. The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582), ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482), ZenBook 13 OLED (UX325) and ZenBook Flip 15 (UX564).
The headliners for the launch are the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582) and ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482) which update the earlier models released in 2019.
The good news for fans of the original series is that ASUS is bringing back the ScreenPad Plus dual-screen setup. The ScreenPad Plus is a full-width secondary touchscreen – 14.1-inch on the UX582 and 12.6-inch on UX482 – that sits above the keyboard on the laptop base.
ASUS hasn’t just brought back the ScreenPad Plus for these new models, they’ve improved it. A new Window Flick feature lets you simply flick windows between displays, while Task Group app lets you ‘see Task Groups at a glance, and lock into work modes instantly by launching multiple apps with a single tap’. ASUS has also included ScreenExpert to customise workflows in apps such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere and After Effects, with more apps to be announced soon.
ASUS is offering 10th Generation Intel Core i7 and Core i9 processors on the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582) with up to 32GB DDR4 (2933) RAM and up to 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 Performance SSD.

ASUS says they’re using 10th Gen “Comet Lake” Intel processors on the UX582 for now, but will switch to Tigerlake as soon as they can, which will bring additional benefits such as Thunderbolt 4.
If you are looking for the 11th Gen “Tiger Lake” Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, ASUS is offering options for these on the ZenBook Duo 14.You can also find up to 32GB DDR (4266) RAM and up to 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 Performance SSD.
You’ll get the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics as well as Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
At this stage ASUS hasn’t announced availability or pricing locally, but we’ll get more information closer to launch.
ASUS has also announced the compact ZenBook 13 OLED with a tiny 13.9mm thin chassis that houses a 13.3″ FullHD resolution (16:9) OLED display. The notebook weighs in at a mere 1.14kg, and boasts a 13-hour battery life.
The ZenBook 13 can be configured with 11th Gen Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. ASUS says the i3 models will be able to get 3733MHz RAM, while the i5 and i7 models can use the faster 4266MHz RAM. Options for up to 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ 3.0 x2 M.2 SSD or up to 32 GB + 1 TB Intel Optane Memory H10 with SSD.
ASUS hasn’t announced any information on availability or price locally, so stay tuned.
ZenBook Flip 15 (UX564)
ASUS has also announced the ZenBook Flip 15, a convertible laptop with 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) display.
The ZenBook Flip 15 is one of the world’s most compact 15.6-inch convertible laptops says ASUS, making it a good option when considering portability. The laptop includes 11th Gen Intel Core H Series processor with 16 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 and up to 1 TB PCIe® 3.0 x 4 NVMe™ SSD.
ASUS will offer ‘gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics’ on the ZenBook Flip 15 with 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM.
There’s no info on local launch for the ZenBook Flip 15, so stay tuned later in the year.
TUF Dash F15
Finally for ASUS, they[ve announced the TUF Dash F15, a tough, slim and portable unit that’s tough enough to get through your most extreme e-sports.
The TUF Dash F15 meets MIL-STD-810H standards, making it able to survive in the most extreme environments as well anything from ambient vibration to accidental knocks and bumps.
The 19.9mm thin chassis comes in moonlight white and eclipse grey colors, and includes a 15.6-inch FHD resolution display with up to 240hz refresh and 3ms response and Adaptive Sync support.
ASUS will offer the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors at various clock speeds and latest gen NVIDIA RTX GPUs. The TUF Dash F15 can be configured with up to 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, DDR4 3200Mhz (updated from 2666Mhz last year) as well as dual M.2 SSD slotup to 1TB.
A 76Wh battery will give you up to 16.6 hours of continuous video playback, and the laptop supports USB-C charging up to 100W, with the fast-charging technology inside able to take the battery from 0% to 50% in under 30 minutes.
The laptop comes with a full range of ports including RJ45, USB-C, three USB-A (3.2 Gen 1) ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.
ASUS hasn’t given us any availability or pricing information for the TUF Dash 15 but we’re keen to see it when it launches.
