It’s 7am. 12 hours ago, the Apple Store Bondi Junction looked like a construction zone. Plenty of people were questioning how it could open in time.
As these photos show, it was a race to the end. at 5.45 this morning the final covers came off.

These photos were taken by a keen observer, who stayed out all night watching the progress.
They show at 3am some still large metal coverings being lifted by cranes onto the roof of the store.
Then at 4am the Front of store still had most of its cover on, including the Apple Logo.
But by 7am, all was well, and aside from a dark curtain to hide the inner workings of the store, Apple are clearly ready to launch the iPad here in Australia.
