I don’t know what the ABC call the people/person who chooses and types up the tweets on screen during their highly popular Q&A program on Monday night, however I did want to try and give you an insight into how difficult the job must be.
Tweetdeck, my twitter client of choice has a ‘user stream’ version, which basically shows tweets in real time. To Demonstrate this, I setup a search column for #qanda – the ‘Hashtag’ for the ABC program.
Below is a 3 minute video, filmed crudely on my Flip Mino camera pointed at my Tweetdeck stream of the #qanda search.
Imagine trying to read all those?
I predict within hours the ABC will release stats on the success of tonight’s show, including the number of tweets and tweeters taking part. This really is pushing us nice and close to truely interactive Television.
That video was filmed about 15 minutes into the show. With 15 minutes to go, a questioner – unhappy with the John Howard response, threw two shoes at Mr Howard – have a look at that tweetstream!
