Today the internet was ‘abuzz’ with more drama for Apple – iPhone users with the current OS version were not waking to any single instance alarms. Recurring alarms were fine, but set a specific Alarm on January 1 or January 2 2011 and you’re in trouble!
I contacted Apple today, and they confirmed they were aware of the problem and offered this statement:
We’re aware of an issue related to non repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2. Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3
Not much help for those who missed an appointment or perhaps a breakfast today, but, all will be well tomorrow.
Quite a drama given a similar -if more damaging (due to the time of year) problem with Alarms was around with the iPhone just a few months back.
Its Y2K All over again!
