Microsoft cuts price of Xbox 360

Microsoft last week announced that it was slashing the price of its Xbox 360 consoles in Australia, with the entry level model now costing just $250 for a 4GB console with wireless controller and a one month subscription to Xbox Live.

Given that Nintendo has led this generation of consoles thanks to its low RRP, the move by Microsoft is a good one in the lead up to a hyper competitive season. In addition to the entry level console, MS has also cut $50 off the price of all its Kinect bundles, with the 4GB Kinect plus console costing $399 and the 250GB version selling for $499.

Microsoft’s end of year game lineup is also looking amazing, with Gears of War 3 hitting shelves this week and the remastered Halo: Combat Evolved landing next month.

If you don’t already own an Xbox 360, this is probably a great time to buy one. Plus, blowing up aliens is the perfect way for a man to relax…

Price: From $250
