It’s only taken the team at Facebook 18 months, but they’ve finally managed to launch a dedicated version of their iOS app for iPad. The good news is that it’s pretty sweet.
The Facebook iPad app offers a full screen look at your latest news feed, notifications and updates. A column down the right hand side lets you chat with online friends, while dragging the screen from left to right brings up a list of shortcuts to all your favourite parts of Facebook, including pages, groups and apps. Videos embedded in your news feed can be streamed to a computer or Apple TV using AirPlay, as well as playing on the iPad itself.
Sure, it’s not going to cure cancer anytime soon, but if you use Facebook and own an iPad, it’s a must buy.
