LG and Red Bull have announced at a press conference in Sydney today that they are teaming up to bring Red Bull TV to the LG Smart TV platform. Red Bull TV is already available as an iPhone, Windows Phone and Nokia Ovi app and the LG Smart TV version will be much the same.
With Red Bull TV on your new LG Smart TV you will have access to a wide range of Red Bull content – from sports and music to fashion, culture, gaming and more. The content will be available in HD and will be refreshed daily so there is always something new to watch. Red Bull programmes include The Atherton Project, On The Loose, Destination One, and The Mountainbike Chronicles. You will also be able to view documentaries on Red Bull sponsored athletes such as Aussie stunt bike rider Robbie Maddison, or join Mark Webber on track in his Red Bull Renault F1 car.
Tim Barnes, Home Entertainment Senior Marketing Manager, LG, said, “The partnership between LG and Red Bull on the world’s first launch of Red Bull TV on a TV platform further highlights our commitment to providing innovative content relevant to Australians.”
EFTM tested out a beta version of the software today which was near fully functional. The user interface is basic and access to programmes is easy. It has the same look and feel as the iPhone app but customised for a much larger screen in HD.
You will be able to download the Red Bull TV app free on your LG Smart TV by the end of the month.
