Time-lapse video from the ISS shows just how amazing the planet is


Mark this one down as reason number one space exploration is awesome – Michael König has taken photos from the ISS and edited them into a stunning time lapse video, showing just how amazing the planet is…

The five minute video shows images taken by a special low-light 4K camera on board the International Space Station, between August and October of this year. As well as showing the wonders of cities lit up during the night time, it shows off the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis to magnificent effect.
