You can now test run Windows Phone 7 on Android and iPhones

Windows Phone 7 is an amazing mobile operating system, let down by a lack of exciting hardware and poor marketing. But if you’ve been wanting to check out the platform without spending the cash, Microsoft has unveiled a clever web app to turn your iPhone or Android handset into a Windows Phone.

To give it a shot, simply point your phone’s browser at http://aka.ms/wpdemo and you’ll be taken to an HTML5 site that looks and behaves just like Windows Phone 7. It’s a clever little piece of marketing that will hopefully show off some of the benefits of the platform before it’s too late…
