Mark Wahlberg is the new Chuck Norris, apparently

Mark Wahlberg has come out and said 9/11 would have been different if he were directly involved. Wahlberg and his family were due to fly on one of the ill-fated United flights that hit the World Trade Centre, but flew to Toronto instead at the last minute.

The well-built and rather intense actor told Men’s Journal that things would have happened differently if he were on that flight with his family.

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

While his enthusiasm for saving lives and putting himself at risk is commendable, the comments haven’t done anything to help the actor’s profile out, with families of the victims attacking him for making it sound all a bit too simple.

Previously Wahlberg had told reporters he had over 50 dreams of the incident and how it could have gone down differently.

It’s not the first time Wahlberg has said some curious things, having also made mention of the fact he doesn’t get down to jerking off. Ok, then…
