45,000 square metres of Cars movie fun coming to Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park

If you love the Cars movie franchise and have been suckered into purchasing every tiny item of merchandise from the two movies, expect the kids to start nagging for a trip to the US very soon thanks to Disney’s California Adventure Park’s latest expansion.

Disney is in the process of adding Cars Land to the Disneyland offshoot park, which will span 45,000 square metres and include new rides as part of a $1 billion expansion being opened in mid-June.

According to the LA Times, Cars Land will feature characters from Cars and have three rides – “Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree”, “Luigi’s Flying Tires” and “Radiator Springs Racers”.

Disney has released a quick video which shows off the feature attraction – Radiator Springs Racers. I don’t know about my kids, but I for one want a ride!
