Human plane Gary Connery lands from 600 metres up sans parachute

Gary Connery has become the first person in the world to skydive without a parachute and land safely. He jumped from 600 metres (2000 feet) up, descending onto a runway made of boxes.

Connery used a wing suit to guide himself from the helicopter jump point towards the runway which a crew and fans had helped create out of 18,000 cardboard boxes. He made numerous calculations before the jump and went through weeks of intensive training before carrying out the stunt.

It’s not the first time this daredevil has done stupid things. He has been stunt double for numerous Hollywood stars including Rowan Atkinson and Gary Oldman.
