What did happen to the Star Wars that I used to know, Gotye?

Aussie musician Gotye has been riding a wild wave of success of the back of his song Somebody that I used to know, making it all the way to number one in the US. But even more impressive are the huge number of cover versions the song has inspired, like this one that is sure to strike a chord with Star Wars fans.

It’s impressive how well the lyrics fit, not to mention “Lucas’s” vocal talents. Sure, he’s no Kimbra, but did anyone really think that the real Phantom Menace would be able to hold a tune so well (or pull off wearing nothing but body paint?)

Created by Teddie Films, the song is also available to download from iTunes. Even if you’re a little bit tired of the original, knowing that Darth Vader is just as sad with the prequels as we are is somewhat satisfying…
