Mates Rates: WD TV box for $88

There are a million ways to stream video from your computer to your TV, but the WD TV box has the added benefit of being able to access ABC iView directly. Plus, it’s cheap!

Officeworks is selling the little box for $88, which is a bargain given it will also access services like Spotify, Red Bull TV, YouTube, Facebook and TuneIn radio directly from the box. It also accesses all your content on your PC, so you can enjoy home movies and slideshows on the big screen. It may not feature Apple TV’s rental services, but it’s a decidedly non-Apple device, and that will keep some people happy…
