Spotify survey reveals the best songs for the bedroom

You’ve lit the candles. The champagne is on ice. A trail of rose petals lead from the door to the bedroom. And now, all you need is to pick the perfect mood music. Spotify may have the perfect playlist for you.

Spotify did some research into the importance of music in our love lives, which came back with some interesting results. For a start, it found that 40 per cent of respondents believed that the right music would put them in the mood far more than a touch from their partner.

That said, some of the results are questionable at best. For example, the 20th most popular music for playing during the act is anything from the Star Wars soundtrack.

Now, I’m not saying that there’s not a place for the Imperial March as you try to satisfy your partner in the most intimate possible way, but don’t be surprised if your better half responds by asking, “Aren’t you a little short for a Storm Trooper?”

Fortunately, some of the other results are a little more realistic. If in doubt, play lots of Marvin Gaye and Barry White.
