Would you pay $14,000 for an iPhone with Flappy Bird installed?

If you’re not across the hysteria of the Flappy Bird game, this whole thing is going to get crazy for you in a matter of moments.  The game – no longer available in the App Store is now being sold on eBay – pre-installed on used iPhones, and there are bids for the phone.

Flappy Bird – iPhone Game

Flappy Bird is a silly little game which if you have it – frustrates the hell out of you.

You make the bird flap to fly up by simply tapping the screen.  You need to work your way through obstacles.  One touch of an obstacle you are done.

I played for 30 mins and only just avoided throwing my phone at the wall.  Top score : 4.

So then the developer of the game takes to twitter and announces he’s over it, had enough of the publicity (and rumoured wads of cash from Advertising revenue) and has shut the game down.  No longer available to download.

So if you haven’t played it – tough luck.

eBay listing for an iPhone with Flappy Bird installed

If you want it really badly, some crazy loons are listing iPhones on eBay for hundreds if not thousands of dollars.  One such item has 6 bidders with 25 bids taking the price over $14,000.  I can’t believe these are legitimate so expect the eBay listing to disappear or change, but if it’s real – it’s insanity.  Plain and simple.
