If you’ve heard the hype, now you kinda have to believe it. Apple has released its opening day pre-order numbers and it’s another record-breaking day for iPhone sales.
Today, Apple announced a new record for pre-orders with iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus breaking through the four million mark in the first 24 hours.
How’s that compare to the past? iPhone 5 pre-orders two years ago were over two million in 24 hours, and when they went on sale they sold five million in the first weekend.
According to Apple “Demand for the new iPhones exceeds the initial pre-order supply and while a significant amount will be delivered to customers beginning on Friday and throughout September, many iPhone pre-orders are scheduled to be delivered in October. Additional supply of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to walk-in customers on Friday, September 19 at 8:00 a.m. local time at Apple retail stores”
If you didn’t get your pre-order in – time to find a plan and hope your carrier has stock!
