Quality Bose sound for under $200 – Bose SoundLink Colour Bluetooth Speaker review

Let’s not beat around the bush, Bose quality sound normally comes at a premium price.  Their top-notch noise cancelling headphones are a touch under $400, and they have some of the more premium sound systems on the market.  This week we had a look and listen to something a bit different from Bose, the new SoundLink Colour Bluetooth speaker.

If it didn’t have a Bose logo, I wouldn’t believe it was Bose.  It’s a very plain feel to it, nothing overly premium about the quality of materials.  However when you power it up there’s two things that make this Bose.  Simplicity of use and quality of sound.

There’s a voice guiding you through the pairing process and keeping you informed when you pair devices each time.  Sounds like a simple idea, but it really does simplify the use of the unit.

When you throw some music on your smartphone you can pump this little baby right up because it offers a great sound at every level.

It’s a deep sound, nothing thin about the quality, without being far too heavy on bass.

The remarkable thing?  It’s $179.  And available in five great colours.

Well worth a look if you’re considering a wireless speaker
