Feast your eyes on the Ferrari 488 GTB

Looking for a mid-engine V8 Ferrari?  Not interested in a forty-year-old 308 GTB?  Take a look at the all new Ferrari 488 GTB which will be unveiled in the flesh at the International Geneva Motor Show in March.

Let’s face it – Ferraris are a car most of us just look at, lust over, and want to drive.  For the few who actually sit and look at what to buy, the 488 offers what Ferrari describe as “track-level performance that can be enjoyed to the full even by non-professional drivers in everyday use”.

Featuring a 3902cc V8 turbo this is something else.  790Nm of maximum torque in 7th gear. 0-200km/h in 8.3 seconds, and around Fiorano a lap time of 1 minute 23.

Oh heck, just take a look. (full specs below)

Deliveries start in Europe in July, oh, and the 488?  That’s the engine size divided by the number of cylinders (3,902 / 8)
