More solid sound: Hands on with the new Braven BRV-HD

We’ve been fans of the sound and range that Braven have been pumping out for years.  From smaller portables to the rugged power we’ve given awards to, there’s something for everyone.  Introducing the new BRV-HD – its big, it’s rugged and the sound is fantastic.

Braven call it their “Biggest and Baddest” speaker in the BRV ultra-rugged Bluetooth speaker range.

The body is made in a rugged form, with shock-absorbing and water-resistant features being the key to the design and manufacturing of the body, with an “aircraft-grade” aluminium grill highlighting the overall design.

Weighed down by the 8,800mAh battery which will provide 28 hours of playback time this thing is perfect for outdoor entertaining, beach visits or camping trips you’re going to have enough volume to cover everyone around.

As with most high-end Bluetooth speakers these days, you’ve also got the opportunity to paid a second Braven speaker to create a stereo pair for even better sound.

I’m continually impressed by the sound quality coming from portable speakers, and when you add the USB charging to a device like this, as well as the rugged style, it’s a great option particularly for those who love camping or entertaining outdoors.

You’ll find the new BRV-HD in Aussie online retailers Beezer and MacintoshAddict for $379.99 – distributed across Australia and New Zealand by MacGear
