EFTM Best 2015 – Best Networking – Netgear Nighthawk

So when it comes to your home network you can whinge and moan all you like about speed or performance, but if you’re not willing to invest in the infrastructure that supports the WiFi and connectivity in your home then you just can’t complain.

Thinking about networking, there are a few great products that come to mind. And man did we toss this one up a lot before printing the plaque!

The Netgear Clickswitch is a cracking great product for connecting multiple devices but then also keeping the actual switch nicely tucked away.  Easily clicking under a desk or behind an entertainment unit, it’s seriously great stuff.

Then there was the DLink Ultra – this Router is easily the best looking router on the market, and its performance matches its looks.  Ultra.

But, I had to give it to one, and for me, it’s the Netgear Nighthawk, and let me tell you – by a nose in a photo finish.

The one thing that tipped me over the edge is probably the back-end.  The router interface.  I’ve gotta say I find the dashboard on the Netgear Nighthawk excellent, and configuration changes easy.  In a time when it’s almost critical you’re able to dig into the settings, we have to make that easy for people, and Netgear have done that.

So, the EFTM Best Award for 2015 – Best Networking, goes to the Netgear Nighthawk.
