Melbourne tops the list for Facebook Places in 2015

It’s that time of year again, where all the data we share helps companies like Facebook make top ten lists covering the whole year and the results are in for 2015!

The best list is the one that stirs up the state based rivalry here in Australia.  And this year, Victoria tops the list, but Queensland wins on quantity.

Melbourne’s Crown and MCG are the two most checked-into locations in Australia for 2015, while Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Opera House and Taronga Zoo are 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Meanwhile in terms of news and conversation – politics dominated.  With Federal politics taking the top two spots, while the Centenary of Anzac was the third biggest story of the year.
