BMW showcase motorbike helmets with HUD at CES 2016

Not to be out done by the boys and girls over at BMW’s car division, BMW Motorrad brought along their new Head Up Display.

While HUD on motorcycle helmets is not an entirely new concept the idea of an OEM produced helmet with HUD certainly is.

While not yet production ready the introduction of this technology proves that BMW Group remains committed to the motorcycle division.

BMW Motorrad has created a glass monocle that sits close to the right eye while being clipped to the helmet. Currently displaying functions such as speed and gear selection BMW Motorrad hope to further aid safety by incorporating real time navigation in the future.

EFTM’s coverage of CES 2016 is made possible with support from Intel, Hisense, Sony, Samsung, LG and Alcatel One Touch
