In the dead of night here in Australia, but the wee hours of the Cupertino morning – Apple has announced updates to the Macbook and Macbook Air laptops.
The Macbook (that’s the one thinner and smaller than the Air, but with a bigger screen) now comes in “gorgeous” Rose Gold, and features an improved battery, processor and ram.
Using sixth-gem Intel Core M processors and improved graphics processors you’re getting the latest possible mobile processors in the updated range, and improved power efficiency with 11 hours of Movie playback.
Phil Schiller thinks it’s great: “MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook, Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish.”
Over on the Macbook Air, 8GB or RAM is now standard across all configurations. Nice.
The MacBook starts as a 1.1 GHz Intel Core m3 processor, 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage at $1,999 or a 1.2 GHz Intel Core m5 processor, 8GB of memory and 512GB storage for $2,449 inc.
