Rent a Mustang in Sydney or Melbourne through Hertz

So you wanna drive a Mustang?  But you don’t want to buy one.  Or perhaps you do want to buy one but just can’t wait the 18 odd months until yours arrives.  Bingo – Ford Mustang’s are now available to Rent through Hertz in Sydney and Melbourne.

Just like in the US, Hertz here have an “Adrenaline” collection, which contains some premium sporty cars, and as of now you can reserve your own Pony for the weekend in Sydney or Melbourne.

Ford say this comes after 2,000 more Mustangs were added to the Aussie shipment plans for 2016, but it also means more Mustangs out and about driving because rentals are likely to be on the road every single day while many owners will keep them for special days driving.

We logged onto Hertz website and chose Sydney Airport in June for a Mustang Rental and got one first go.  A Wednesday pickup and a Monday return looks set to cost us $1250.82 – $208.47 per day.

I’m sure the bookings will fill quickly as we’re not even sure how many are available at Hertz – only a “small number” have been added to the fleet.

Regardless, it’s a great chance to book a weekend road-trip down the cost, up the hunter, or along the Great Ocean Road I reckon.
