Healthier Beer from Heineken

Heineken has unveiled a new brew to the Australian market, the Heineken 3 is a low calorie, low carb yet full flavoured lager. Australia is the first country to receive the new beer, which is landing right in time for summer, pool parties and after mowing the lawn.

Heineken 3 has only 86 calories per bottle, 5g carbs and 3.3% ABV so consumers no longer have to compromise on taste when choosing a lower calorie beer. This compares nicely to the well-known low carb beer, Pure Blonde, which has 105 calories in the 355ml bottle with 4.2% ABV. The proof will be in the taste and this is something Heineken is confident will please.

Andrew Campbell, Managing Director at Heineken Lion Australia, commented: “We believe it will shake up the market with its compelling offering, quality and great taste.”

Heineken will introduce a number of pack sizes to retail stores including regular six and 24 packs along with a new 12 pack, to answer the necessity of smaller and more convenient formats which play a role in more occasions.

Heineken expects their new beer to be gender neutral too, so your beers may be pinched by the wife, and maybe even restocked. Heineken 3 is expected to hit shelves in Australia during September.
