When your Huawei takes a bullet for you – and saves your life

We’re pretty lucky here in Australia, there aren’t huge risks to being out on the streets, and armed robberies are so rare they are national news.  In South Africa, things are a little less awesome. And one bloke has his mobile phone to thank – for his life.

According to SWNS Siraaj Abrahams, a 41-year-old father-of-five was ambushed outside his home as he pulled up in his car.

The attackers tried to pull him from his vehicle, and eventually shot him at close range.

What saved him?  A Huawei P8 lite in his jacket pocket.  Yep.  The bullet was stopped by a mobile phone.

Now I don’t know about you, but that’s some arsey luck right there.

I haven’t searched yet, but I’m assuming this is the catalyst for a new series of YouTube videos titled “will it stop a bullet” – along the lines of the “will it blend” mob.

Amazing story.

Oh, and Huawei have supplied the man with a brand new Huawei P8 Lite. Of course!
