EFTM Best Networking 2016: Netgear Nighthawk X8

When we announced the best wearable for the Apple Watch, we thought it was a big deal it had won two years in a row.  Nope, that title goes to Netgear.  All three Best Networking awards, in 2014, 2015 and now in 2016 go to the Nighthawk router.

The Nighthawk range of routers has improved year on year, and this year the Nighthawk X8 took it more than a step forward.

With active antennas, smart network switching and a bunch of under the hood enhancements – in my home it really added range to the network in our house.

It’s for this reason we’re handing Netgear their third award in three years.

With Orbi coming soon it might be a strong fourth year – perhaps Google need to bring their new WiFi product to Australia to challenge.
