Have you ever wanted to go Skydiving but can’t get the courage up? Don’t worry – Google has you covered. A new Street view experience documents in a virtual world the experience of Skydiving in New Zealand.
If you’re on Google Maps and head over to Skydive Abel Tasman you’ll find a new Street View experience which allows you to “arrow through” to a full jump!
Instead of using the arrows on the roads in Google Street View to move along a road, in this experience you press the arrows in Google Maps to move toward the Skydive plane. You get close then your next step is in.
Once you’re in, there’s nothing to do but jump. Each click takes you out into the sky and toward the ground.
And of course with Street View you can look all around.
In the middle of the dive you can look up down and all around.
It’s a great way to bring an experience to life in the virtual world.
The dive is also filmed in 360 for viewing on YouTube and looking around in the real-time dive – amazing use of 360.
