Bang & Olufsen introduce Beoplay H4 headphones to the B&O Play range

B&O Play the portable and youth focussed brand from audio giant Bang & Olufsen have introduced a new set of headphones designed by Scandinavian designer Jakob Wagner.

The Beoplay H4’s are a wireless headphone with a unique feature – simplicity.

Many modern wireless over-ear headphones are adding buttons for this and buttons for that, the Beoplay H4 have a simple 3 button setup, and the only other distraction from the minimalistic design is the MicroUSB connector and 3.5mm jack should you wish to plug them in.

Centre button is to take/end calls as well as play and pause music, while the other buttons are for volume, track skipping and pairing.

Within the Beoplay App which works on Android, iOS and Apple Watch – you can switch to new sound profiles – with Band & Olufsen engineers creating four distinct settings: Commute, Clear, Workout and Podcast.

You can also adjust things like tonality and sound staging if you’re a real audio nerd.

In the end, they are about style – launching in Charcoal Grey, and sound which will rarely disappoint.  They aren’t noise cancelling however, so at $399 they are at the upper price bracket, but fans of B&O will be pleased.

Available at B&O stores, and Online from today.
