We all know it as Hog’s Breath Cafe, but that’s all about to change as the company launches a new brand and a mobile Food truck!
Perhaps I’ve been living under a rock, but Hog’s Australia is the new name for Hog’s Breath Cafe’s, with Hog’s Australia Stakehouse today the brand behind an announcement to enter the mobile food industry – introducing Hog’s Express.
The chain has been around for 28 years running traditional restaurants, but will now be popping up at shops and mobile locations around the country.
Hog’s CEO Ross Worth announced the new mobile initiative at their annual conference in Fiji, saying the time was right to diversify the brand as Aussies look for accessible and inexpensive options.
“We’ve quietly trialled our food truck at several events in WA over the past few months, from local sporting fixtures to the Adele concert at Domain Stadium where we served more than 500 people in under three hours, and it was clear to us that Australia wants the option to grab a Hog’s fix on the go.
“Food trucks also give us an opportunity to have closer interaction with customers, and offer our franchisees the ability to really connect with their local community if they choose,” said Worth.
Good news, the Steak Sandwich is the star of the show on the Food Truck, with a selection of burgers, Hot Dogs and Wraps also there for the picking.
As long as they’ve got the Hog’s famous curly fries, then we’re all ok.
