Huawei Dual-Camera GR5 hits Australia for $399

Huawei have today announced the dual-camera GR5 smartphone will be available in Australia through Vodafone from April 12 for $399.

Aimed at the more budget conscious the GR5 has a 5.5inch full HD screen, uni-body metal construction and draws on the features of the Huawei premium Mate 9 and P10 range to bring features to a lower price point.

Huawei say it’s the first dual-lens smartphone under $400.

With a 12MP and 2MP camera on the back, autofocus is achieved in just 0.3 seconds, and depth of field effects are possible for a higher end DSLR like look to your photos.

At 3270mAh the battery is big, and should easily push through a full day when compared to the power and battery of similarly sized phones.

Vodafone’s exclusivity lasts a little while with an open retail launch likely in a shortly into Q2.
