Foxtel have announced via their consumer forums an upcoming change to their channel lineup for the internet streaming service Foxtel Play.
As of June 5th the following channels will be “farewelled”: BoxSets, 13th Street, Binge, Syfy, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, Lifestyle You, Style, World Movies, CNN, Smooth, BBC World News, CNBC, Max, CMC, Eurosport News, Foxtel Arts, MTV Music and MTV Dance.
According to Foxtel, depending on which subscription pack you have, you may still be able to watch the programs on BoxSets and Binge via the on demand service.
The changes affect almost all channel packs.
OLD Drama and Pop Packs
NEW Drama and Pop Packs
Kids and Sport packs are unchanged as best we can tell.
Still no word on a HD streaming upgrade for the service across all platforms either.
Hard to imagine Foxtel would be making these changes without some positive news to come, it could be that HD is the offsetting feature here.
