Oppo adds the affordable A57 to the Aussie range

What do you get when you throw an octa-core processor into a sleek looking phone with a solid 16 megapixel front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor that’s best in class into a smartphone?  Premium, flagship stuff.

Nope, with Oppo, you get the $328 A57.

Many of the features of the A57 are found similarly specced in many of Oppo’s other phones, yet they’ve brought this one in to follow on from last year’s successful F1S at a price that will get some eyeballs.

Stocked for outright purchase at JB HiFi and Officeworks the A57 sits as a strong contender in the sub $400 category which is hotting up as one of the most contended segments – especially for outright purchases.

Oppo’s Aussie boss Michael Tran says “The A57 offers fantastic value for money and an excellent user experience. It has many of the features of our leading smartphones, from rapid Touch Access to stunning camera technology, packaging them up into an affordable device for new smartphone users or travellers touring Australia,”

With that we can assume Oppo plans to target folks hitting Australia for holidays, like backpackers – to get a sweet deal on a brand new phone and have no compromise on the selfies!  The A57 is out today, Black or Gold – at JB Hi-Fi & Officeworks.
