Aussie Cars Set to Star on Forza 7

The next instalment of the Forza series is set to arrive before the end of the year and we honestly cannot wait. The game has promised a huge list of cars and tracks at launch and each week we’ve been receiving updates on what some of those cars are. After a few weeks we have been impressed to see so many great cars from the Holden and Ford camps. Here are the ones we’ve spotted with images (not screenshots from the game!)

1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III

The 351 cubic inch V8 in this Falcon literally shook when revved. This car scared the press when it launched, being considered too dangerous and too fast for Australia. It was a Bathurst winner and has a race record a mile long. One of the most iconic Australian Ford’s in Forza is going to be a great sight to see.

1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO

This beast was the successor to the XY and had production terminated early into it’s launch. As mentioned before the media called it the “super-car era” and stopped it dead in it’s tracks. Completely different styling and design to the XY, this XA is going to rumble and finally race across the Forza world.

1951 Holden FX Ute

Holden ute. As iconic as it comes. This FX ute may or may not have a bail of hay in the back when it launches in Forza. What will make this ute exciting in the game will be the conversions feature. Like all Forza games it has been possible to change the engine, with this in mind we are assuming a Chevrolet V8 will go nicely with this farm truck and surprise a few people on the track.

1973 Ford Falcon XB GT

This sexy hunk of metal came in two styles – a two door and a four door sedan. We hope that the version in the game is the two door. The XB GT was the base of the iconic Mad Max car too. It also ran a 351 V8 and won Bathurst with Allan Moffat behind the wheel. A truly epic Ford well deserving a place in Australian motorsport history but also in Forza 7.

2003 Hoonigan Holden Commodore Ute

Josh Robinson’s 1000bhp V8 ute will feature in Forza 7 (among other Hoonigan cars) allowing you to smoke the rears of this Aussie ute across the world. The ute has the front of a V8 supercar yet certainly doesn’t drive like one. While V8 supercars are likely to feature in Forza 7, we assume that if you’re driving this ute, you’ll be mostly sideways.

And more…

1992 Ford Falcon GT: Not entirely sure why this car made the game but… cool?

2014 Ford FPV Limited Edition Pursuit Ute: This is going to be one ute just waiting for a power boost, maybe bolt on a turbo kit for extra drifting?

2015 Ford Falcon GT-F 351: One of the last Aussie GT Ford’s to exist it will be nice to take this for a spin around Bathurst.

2015 Ford Falcon XR8: Hopefully not too expensive to buy in the game, this will be a good car to start with and improve it in the workshop.

1967 Ford XR GT: One of the lesser spoken about GT cars from Ford Australia but still a beautiful specimen. This will be great with a bit of engine work but we’ll leave the factory paint and wheels to keep that classic look.

We don’t have much longer until it’s release in October, we’re excited!
