Getting the best spot for New Years Eve without camping

With the end of 2017 just around the corner, many are planning the way they will spend New Years Eve. The way many Sydney-siders spend New Years is sitting from midday until the major fireworks display at midnight. On a hot day, this is torture, so there is an alternative.

Airtasker, a website for posting any odd job or service, has been found as a great place to post a job for reserving your NYE Fireworks position. People are already posting jobs for four people to mind a spot for them until 9:30pm before they swap over and take over. It is essentially paying someone to sit through the worst of it all so you can have a relaxing dinner and drinks before taking your seat as though it were a theatre and the show was about to start. Some are looking to avoid the crowds and seeking a rooftop or balcony to view the fireworks from, if you have the space available, what an easy way to make money.

For those looking to make a few quid this NYE, be the bidder! Making a couple of hundred dollars is not a bad way to welcome 2018 either. For those looking to get someone to mind a spot for them, posting a job is easy on Airtasker and it then follows bids from people offering to do it for you. Once a deal is done you’ll be able to contact the bidder and payment is handled through Airtasker after the job has been successfully completed.

Have a safe and happy new year from everyone at EFTM.
