Today at CES in Las Vegas, Lenovo took the wraps off a smart speaker with a nice difference to the Google Home, it has a screen.
The Lenovo Smart Display with the Google Assistant built-in makes using the technology more than just audible, you’ll be able to see the results, view videos and more. You will still be able to make it the command hub for your connected smart home devices, from lighting to heating and more – controlled with your voice or touch.
You can use Google Assistant to show you directions from Google Maps, do video calling on Google Duo, listen to music and check out your daily schedule. The Lenovo Smart Display comes in an 8 inch and 10 inch variant and looks pretty great too. If we’re honest, it looks like an Android tablet, with a stand that is always “on” and without all the normal apps of an Android operating system… at least it looks really good.
Pricing and availability for Australia is yet to be known.
