As we reported recently the 2018 Ford Mustang will hit showroom floors soon. There’s a raft of changes for Australia’s leading sports car but now there’s an extra incentive to score one. A special edition Ford Mustang BULLITT will launch coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the renowned Steve McQueen film.
If you haven’t seen the movie, you’ve been living under a rock. The 10-minute car chase in the Warner Bros film sees McQueen take a 1968 Mustang GT fastback in pursuit of two hitmen through the streets of San Francisco.
“Steve McQueen as BULLITT created a legend and Mustang BULLITT is the perfect way to salute an icon of the silver screen,” said Graeme Whickman, President and CEO, Ford Australia. “We’re excited to offer Australian buyers the Mustang BULLITT, especially on the 50th anniversary of the legendary film.”
The car will be smothered in exclusive ‘Dark Highland Green’ and only available on the 5.0-litre V8 Mustang GT fastback. The pictures tell the story, we love it!
