Samsung announces two new Tablets: Tab S4 and A 10.5

Overnight Samsung announced two new tablets which continue their range of solid tablet products taking it right to Apple on both feature and price.

The new Tab S4 is the flagship device for Samsung – premium, with DeX support (their desktop emulator, meaning this could be your main computer if you wanted), as well as “S Pen” the on-screen stylus (Which comes in the box).

It’s the first tablet to feature DeX to get access to a desktop experience on a monitor with keyboard and mouse capabilities, but also on the tablet that same interface is a choice on the S4.

The AMOLED screen is 16:10 ratio with 2560×1600 pixels, plus AKG tuned Dolby Atmos sound.

The second device announced seems aimed at the entry level ipad, with the Tab A 10.5 having a great screen, but without the top end Dex and Stylus features of the S4.

Judging by the announcement and photos, it’s aimed at the family, with movies, games and music featuring heavily – again with Dolby Atmos support.

A real stand out for families is “Multi-user mode” allowing separate child and parent accounts on a single tablet.
