Our kids are perhaps the most creative people in our society – they don’t really have many filters, they just draw what they are thinking. It’s that which makes this annual competition by Trend Micro so interesting.
Kicking off for 2018, the “What’s Your Story?” poster competition encourages kids aged 5-12 to design a poster on a single theme.
This year’s theme is “What does the good side of the internet look like? What good things do you see happening on the internet?”
Kids can draw to their heart’s content, and then submit their entry online.
A public vote will determine three finalists for each region across two age groups (5-8 and 9-12), after which an independent judging panel (including myself!) will decide on five regional winners per age with the overall winner getting a bigger prize for themselves and their school.
On offer is $1,000 – not just to one child, but to all ten regional winners! Add in that overall bonus $1,500 to the winning child and their school and it’s $13,000 in cash to win!
All the details and information on how to enter is on the website What’s Your Story?
