As I look around our, sorry my wife’s kitchen one thing strikes me. We’re silver stainless steel people. The fridge, microwave, oven and dishwasher are all coated in it. But now LG is offering a new Matte Black stainless steel range of kitchen appliances. It’s a new take on kitchen styling and may not suit every house, but I have to say I’m a huge fan.
Brad Reed, LG Senior Marketing Manager for Home Appliances, said “For many Australian families the kitchen is the heart of the home, and these appliances showcase the very latest in aesthetically stunning products to compliment modern kitchen design. We are excited to be able to offer a Matte Black range of Kitchen appliances for the first time so that our customers can have an ultra-modern and co-ordinated look in their kitchen.”
So, what’s available in the Matte Black range? First up there’s the InstaView fridge. A fridge that when you knock twice reveals the contents of the fridge. A glass panel becomes transparent revealing what’s ready to snack on. We’ve all stood in front of an open fridge, wishing for a non-existent snack to suddenly appear. At least now you can keep the door shut. The InstaView fridge also includes functionality such as a slim indoor icemaker, Pure N Fresh Air filtration and retractable shelves, depending on model.
LG has the microwave covered as well with the NeoChef available in Matte Black. This is a sleek and simple looking unit that exudes a real premium look. It has clever inverter technology, simplified controls and streamline operations. A single piece of glass on the front door with that matte black colour also delivers a beautiful appearance.
It seems black is the new stainless steel! Keep an eye out at the following retailers.
