Sony have announced the 20 games to ship with the PlayStation Classic

The PlayStation Classic is the latest in the revamp series that has seen some of the old school great video games and consoles carried into the new generation. The NES Mini went absolutely gangbusters when it was released so hopefully we’ll see a similar response to Sony’s attempt in the market. Today they’ve released the list of games that this wonderful machine will come with and it’s looking real good.

Without further ado;

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

I couldn’t help but highlight my personal favourites. As you can see the system will also rock the old controllers and sexy round buttons on top. That might not read properly, but my love for the old PlayStation knows no bounds…

The Sony PlayStation classic will hit stores globally on December 3rd and is looking to retail for $149.99. Rest assured this will be a very nostalgic purchase for many gamers across the world – I know I’ll be picking one up.
