The Assassin’s Creed Challenge is coming to Sydney this weekend!

Do you like jumping on things? Do you spend your free time running around pretending to be an Ancient Greek assassin? Well you’re in an unbelievable amount of luck! This weekend the Assassin’s Creed Challenge is coming to Metcalfe Park in Pyrmont, Sydney. The event corresponds with the heavily anticipated launch of the latest AC iteration, Odyssey, set in Ancient Greece.

The challenge has been designed to replicate the setting of the Odyssey game, with members of the public able to get involved in six different parkour-based challenges, including a 7m high ‘Leap of Faith’, which for the uninitiated is an Assassin’s Creed staple.

We’ve also been told that anyone to complete the course will receive a limited edition Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Helmet.

If parkour isn’t your thing, naturally you’ll also be able to play Odyssey on one of 16 designated Xbox One X consoles at the event. There’ll also be a chance to win one of three custom AC: Odyssey Xbox One X’s across a few different competitions during the event. This is kinda awesome…

If you haven’t already been convinced to head down to Metcalfe Park this Friday and Saturday, I’ll be there! Surely that’s a whole reason to attend.

Okay maybe that isn’t much of a sale point… but members of the Sydney Parkour community (notably AAPES) will be attending and knowing some of those guys, they’ll be putting on an awesome show.

The Assassin’s Creed Challenge will be open on Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Also it’s worth noting that my attendance has next to nothing to do with this publication or any affiliation with Ubisoft – I just love both Assassin’s Creed and parkour…
