Sony’s 2019 TVs – 8K, Big, Smart & with Apple Airplay too

Sony are sticking to their guns with a stunning range of premium smart TVs coming to Australia in 2019.

The headline act is the new Master Series Z9G which is an 8K TV while there’s a big step up in their OLED range too with the new A9G 4K OLED.

Master is a series name only given to the best of the best, and at 8K this is it.

If you’re worried about content Sony say the Master series TVs also feature Netflix Calibrated mode and IMAX enhancement to give you what the creator intended.

These two 2019 TVs from Sony will feature a next generation X1 Picture Processor called “ultimate” for an enhanced level of detail and contrast.

Despite the OLED sound in picture technology being very specific to Sony OLED TVs there is a new push from Sony for a “sound from picture” reality in both these models including the LCD 8K TV.

And of course, as is the trend, go big – or go home. Sony’s Z9G will come in a staggering 85 inches for the real crazy lounge room experience.

The A9G will be available in 77 inch, 65 inch and 55 inch and shows there is still a solid demand not just for OLED but for these much larger screen sizes.

Both series will feature Sony’s Android TV with a huge range of Apps including Netflix, Stan and YouTube as is the want of the nation today.

Plus, they’re smarter than ever, with Google Assistant built in – no need for the remote, the screen has microphones at the ready for your command, essentially turning your TV into a giant Google Home.

As seems to be the trend, Apple Airplay 2 Compatibility is also included in this year’s Android TV range so there’s another win for iPhone/iPad owners looking to “cast” to the big screen.

The full TV lineup is below, with a staggered launch throughout the year, that big 8K baby not coming till the second half of the year.
