Take a walk with Apple – new learning sessions at Apple Stores announced

Apple retail stores are so much more than just a place to buy Apple Products, sure there’s the Genius Bar, but they also spend a lot of time on learning and educating people on their Apple products, today they’ve introduced new session in the “Today at Apple” range of learning programs.

Over 18,000 free sessions a week attended by millions of people have been held around the world since Today at Apple launched two years ago and now more than ever they’re looking to take out outside the store to learn and use products in the real-world.

Little may you know, you don’t have to own an Apple iPhone to do an iPhone photography session, same with Garage Band on iPad – they’ve got devices – don’t worry about that. And yes, there’s a hope the sessions will make you want the product if you don’t already have it.

There are skills sessions where you learn editing video using Clips, and now in Skills there’s using Notes and Chords in Garage Band, Sketching ideas in the Notes app and Photo editing techniques.

The Labs sessions are co-created with often local creative experts and cover everything from music to art, while the fun ones are the Walks.

Today at Apple Walks allow you to join an Apple team member for a walk outside the store for tips and tricks in photography, or the health app.

Now, Apple have new Walk sessions including capturing Cinematic Shots, Creating Soundscapes in Garage Band and Motivational learning which was co-created with a fitness expert.

“Since the beginning, Today at Apple has been about educating and inspiring the communities we serve. These new sessions are an opportunity to unlock the creative potential in all of our customers,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail. “There is a session for everyone at Today at Apple and we can’t wait to see what you will create.”

And there’s still all the free coding, art and design sessions too.

All of it is free.

Worth a look if you’ve got some time and wanna delve a bit more into what technology can do for you.
