Uniden Smart Security products add Google Assistant

In a sign once again of just how important the world of smart virtual assistants are to the future of any even remotely smart product is – Uniden have added Google Assistant integration to their smart security products.

This means if you’ve got a compatible Uniden camera, you can ask Google to show that vision live on your TV via Chromecast.

Brad Hales from Uniden acknowledged the demand for this, saying “The increasing demand for voice control enabled products is on the rise. Uniden wants to offer consumers the ability to manage their home security cameras using voice control while integrating with other products around the home,”

“Integrating the Uniden security range with the Google Assistant will keep our products competitive within the surveillance category and provides consumers with more flexibility when viewing footage around the home.”

Google Assistant integration is now available on Uniden App Cam 55, App Cam 56, XLight and GXVR models and coming to more in the months ahead.
