If you’re a whisky fan, then take note of the following. Glenfiddich has teamed up with renowned chef Matt Moran for a nationwide whisky bus tour.
The Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer is a luxury whisky lounge on wheels. It has been designed to deliver all that is good and unique about the brand to novices and enthusiasts right across the county.
The Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer will first appear at the Good Food & Wine shows in Melbourne followed by Sydney and Brisbane. If you’re lucky you may just see it in between as well as the bus covers some 9,000km.
Luke Sanderson the Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador, said:
“Glenfiddich is renowned worldwide for its mastery and innovation, so we wanted to share this appreciation by bringing a hint of our Scottish Highlands distillery to life in Australia,” Sanderson said. “The Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer is the ultimate whisky dream, moving across the country and sharing a taste of the Glenfiddich craft and tradition.
“In true Glenfiddich style, our travelling whisky lounge is the ideal experience for both whisky enthusiasts and those looking to try their first Single Malt. Come along and try it for yourself.”
Matt Moran added, “Glenfiddich’s philosophy for possibilities and innovation is what drew me to this partnership. We share a like-minded passion to push boundaries and continually strive to reach new heights. I’m excited to see what comes next, and of course the opportunity to learn more about their wonderful whisky doesn’t hurt either.”
So, what actually takes place on board? Attendees will be educated about the fundamentals of whisky and sample a range of malts from the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky.
That includes Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old, 15-Year-Old Solera Vat and even the Glenfiddich Experimental Series.
A further enticement to board the roving whisky bus includes allowing attendees to personalise their own bottle of Glenfiddich.
The bus itself is 10 metres long and is an original 1972 vintage Leyland two storey bus, heavily modified to include a high-class premium bar, hydraulic pop-up roof and glinting copper stag head. Keep an eye out for it at the following locations.
The Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer will be driven by a designated driver.
