Winter is around the corner but given I’m in Canberra for our Holden Equinox LTZ-V road trip I can tell you it’s already here. Which brings me to this handy product. It’s called the Original Puffy Blanket by a company called Rumpl. It’s for the outdoor type that wants to go way beyond a tradional sleeping bag.
This is a stylish blanket that is water, stain and odour resistant. The invention has a great back story after its founders were once trapped in their broken-down van in sub-zero temperatures in America’s north-west, or so I’m told.
The Original Puffy Blanket has an ultra-warm 3D Hollow Fibre synthetic insulation system. The same stuff found in high-end sleeping bags and puffer style jackets. It’s light weight and can be packed away easily in a water-resistant stuff sack, plus comes in three sizes.
But aside from cocooning yourself inside it when camping, it also is perfectly suited for at home use as well.
Here are the three sizes and prices:
• Original Puffy Blanket Throw (127 x 178cm) RRP $149.95
• Original Puffy Blanket 1-person (137 x 203cm) RRP $179.95
• Original Puffy Blanket 2-person (224 x 213cm) RRP $269.95
