No word yet on if and when the Samsung Galaxy Fold will hit Australia, but in good news for the company, let alone fans of the concept – Samsung has announced the device will launch in selected markets in September.
The delay from the February announcement of the product until now is down to a bit of a snag Samsung hit when they first rolled out their devices for review a few months ago.
Reviewers in the USA were the first to question the product, with a film that looked like a screen protector being removed and destroying the product, as well as some issues with debris or problems with the fold itself.
Taking that into account, Samsung say they have made improvements and undergone rigorous tests – the changes include:
Knowing the eyes of the world are on them, Samsung look to have taken the time to get this right – they say “All of us at Samsung appreciate the support and patience we’ve received from Galaxy fans all over the world. Galaxy Fold is a device long in the making, and we’re proud to share it with the world and look forward to bringing it to consumers.”
We now wait to hear when Australia gets a look:)
