Ben and Jerry’s ice cream offered to people named Ben and Jerry – But don’t fret there’s hope for us all!

Well this is simply an outrage and in this era of hysteria and snowflakes I’m predicting a Twitter storm. Which is fine, because in the real world no one gives a rats about that silly bubble.

However, legendary Ice Cream maker Ben & Jerry’s is celebrating a milestone, 10 years in the business.

To mark the occasion, the kings of ice cream will give away FREE scoops of the chunkiest, swirliest ice cream around to the “Ben’s, Jerry’s, November babies and snazzy dressers of Australia!”

This weekend if your name is Ben or Jerry, pull out some photo ID at any Ben & Jerry’s store across Australia to claim your freebie. Same if you’re a November baby.

But wait, hang on. As I read the press release there’s still hope for the rest of us.

Non-Ben’s and Jerry’s will have the opportunity to score a free cone next weekend (November 9 & 10) by dressing up in costume, snapping a pic and tagging @BenandJerrysOz.

Time to get out my Batman suit. Trevor, I assume still has that Cinderella dress he used to wear, when he was 15.

So, to sum it up:

  • November 2-3: If your name is Ben or Jerry OR your birthday is in November
  • November 9-10: Visit a Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop in costume & upload a pic tagging @BenandJerrysOz
